Plastic grinding media

Plastic media is used for gentle surface finishing, especially for soft non-ferrous materials like die castings and machined products due to its ability to resist chipping and fracturing.

Mainly for burnishing parts, but can also be used for de-burring by beating down the burrs.

For bright luster burnishing and de-burring of ferrous and non-ferrous parts for handling purposes where surface refinement is not critical.

  • Cleaning by walnut shell is particularly effective where the surface of the substrate under its coat of paint, dirt, grease, scale, carbon, etc. should remain unchanged or other-wise unimpaired.
  • Walnut shell grit can be used as a soft aggregate in removing foreign matter or coatings from surfaces without etching, scratching or marring cleaned areas.
  • It is an excellent replacement for sand (free silica) to avoid inhalation health concerns.

  • Mainly used for delicate parts. It will remove surface contamination, debris and coatings with little to no impact on the substrate.
  • It is resistant to break down and can be re-used multiple times in the process. And it presents no health or environmental hazards.

Polishing Paste & Compounds

The DELMER polishing compounds give the best finishing result. In the wet process, compounds are added to the disc Finishing machine. With the use of Compound, we get bright & clean surface of the workpieces and they do not contain any strong complexing agent.

  • In the wet process, compounds are added to the Disc-Finishing machines. During the grinding process, they provide the work pieces with a clean, bright and non-corroded surface. With impact-sensitive work pieces, the compound acts as a foam buffer from the media.
  • dry polishing paste is used for mirror shine polishing of jeweler & other work pieces. Particularly suitable for white metals.
